Betty Ann Buehl Usner, 87, went home to her dear Lord Jesus Christ Saturday, April 14, 2012. Her great-great grandfather, Pastor Peter Jacob Buehl, founded Zion Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; sister, Mary Prinz and brother, Frederick Buehl. She is survived by her son, Robert of Charlotte, NC and nephews, Timothy and Jeffrey Prinz.
Betty Ann, a lifelong resident of Akron, worked at Alside and United Way and in her later years, brought joy to many as Babsie the Clown. Her last years at Stow-Glen Retirement Village were spent in the loving care of Senior Administrator Kay Keller.
A graveside service for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, 2613 Sackett Ave., with Rev. Elizabeth Hazelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran, 600 Water St., Kent, OH 44240.
