Betty J. Postiach

Betty J. Postiach, 69, passed away November 21, 2024. She was born in Akron to the late Wilson and Marie (Wilson) Fry, was a 1974 Ellet High School graduate, and had worked for Ferriot Industries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine; granddaughter, Courtney; brother, Glenn; and mother-in-law, Barb. She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Melissa (Nate) Hitzka and Sherrie; grandchildren, Deven, Chelsey and Mason Hitzka; and great-grandchildren, Layla and Layden Hitzka.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4 – 7 p.m.  at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 26 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
