Betty J. Reish went home to be with her Lord on September 2, 2016. She had a wonderful and full life spanning 93 years, raising four children, helping raise her nine grandchildren, and loving her 18 great-grandchildren.
She was born and raised in Akron to the late Robert and Lulu (Harris) Pryor along with eight siblings, then became a mother of four while also a church organist and bookstore manager. At the young age of 62, she took a leap of faith and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Betty spent the next 31 years sharing her faith, stories and wisdom with anyone who would listen.
While she will be deeply missed by her family and friends, we must remember to keep her alive in our memories through the stories she told, the phrases she’s used, (Oh my land ! – being one of her favorites) and the many lessons that she taught us.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Copley Cemetery, 3770 Copley Rd. with Pastor Aaron Varner officiating.
