Beverly (Buck) Merideth, 79, passed away December 22, 2025. Born in Akron on June 9, 1946, she was a graduate of Buchtel High School, class of 1964, and she lived in the Akron area her entire life. She had a quick wit and a joke for any occasion. When suffering from kidney failure, she was asked by the doctor what brought her to the emergency room, and she replied, “The ambulance.” When someone commented that our family has several November birthdays, she said, “What can I say? Our family loves Valentine’s Day.”
Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Douglas Merideth, and her parents, John and Mona (Melling) Buck, she is survived by her sons, Douglas, Jr. (Robin) Merideth and David (Jane) Merideth; grandchildren, Ava (Emma) Skrapics, Sean Merideth, Evan Merideth, Emma Merideth, and Jaden Merideth; great-grandson Oliver Douglas Skrapics; sisters, Penny Buck and Jenny Knight (Jack); brothers, Jim (Debbie) Buck and Jeff (Cindy) Buck; sisters-in-law, Socorro Merideth and Georgie Merideth; and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Rick and Janet Merideth, along with Ken Boltz and Dave Shields for faithfully providing our mother with rides to Dialysis every week. We would also like to thank the dedicated health care workers who helped our mother over the last few years of her life, especially Dr. Susan Tucker, the staff at Davita Dialysis of Munroe Falls, and the staff at Summa Hospice.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305, with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m. Private burial with her husband will be held at Hillside Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to honor our mother’s memory by telling a joke - the cornier, the better. If that doesn't improve your mood, feel free to make a donation to Faith Bible Fellowship, 126 West Overdale Dr., Tallmadge, OH 44278, Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Drive, Akron, OH 44312, or the charity of your choice.
