Bonnie Jean Rutledge, 76, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2015. Born in Akron to the late Willie and Yvonne (Hecht) Fordham, she grew up in Tallmadge and lived most of her life in Ellet.
Bonnie earned her Associates Degree from The University of Akron and worked at Akron City Summa Hospital. She was also a member of The Chapel and enjoyed reading, shopping, decorating, and discussing politics and world events.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne and brother, Larry Fordham, she is survived by her children, Mark (Michelle), of Woodstock, GA, Allen and Michelle Beban (Mike Walker); grandchildren, Candace, Mallory, Natalie, A.J., Alexandria and Brooklyn; brothers, Carl Fordham and Marlin (Becky) Fordham; sisters-in-law, Cil Rutledge and Bonnie Fordham; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
