Carolyn Marie Bailes

Carolyn Marie Bailes, 79, passed away September 25, 2023. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Matthew and Janevee (Bennett) Collins and was a nurse’s aide for almost 20 years. She had worked at Little Forest Nursing Home and was a manager at the Salvation Army. Carolyn was a kind soul who helped everyone and anyone and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Marvin; son-in-law, Jay; and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Carolyn (John) Mauller, Paula Jamison, Jesse Bailes, Tina Bailes, William (Julie) Bailes and A'Darius; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Charles (Delores), Larry (Sharon), Dale and Patty (Cecil).

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
