Catherine A. Grant, 72, passed away September 14, 2016 at Essex Healthcare of Tallmadge. Born on March 14, 1944 to Robert and Charlotte (Wheeler) Grant she resided in the Akron area for many years. Catherine was a proud member of the Daughters of Scotia and was an associate member of the Greater Akron Motorcycle Club. While always looking after her older brother, she made Yoga pillows for cancer patients and thoroughly enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, sewing and her pets.
Catherine will be sadly missed by her brother, Clinton Grant, as well as many friends.
A graveside service will take place Friday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. at East Akron Cemetery, 1135 E. Market St., with Pastor Donald Hahn officiating. Donations may be made in Catherine’s name to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
