Charles N. Nunley, 73, passed away August 26, 2011. He was born in Flatwoods, West Virginia and lived the last 50 years in the Akron area. Mr. Nunley served as an aviation mechanic in the US Air Force, and retired from Gen Corp in 2000 from the chemical division. Charles was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Rootstown.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie; son, Randall (Rochelle); daughter, Lauri (Sama) Malolo; six grandchildren; and brother, Karl Jordan.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2776 Hartville Rd., Rootstown OH 44272, (330-325-7627), with Bishop William Mars officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in Restland Cemetery, at 10:00 a.m. with military honors. The family will receive friends at the church ONE HOUR prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m.
