Cora E. Sawyer, 93, passed away July 1, 2013. She was born in Baltimore, MD to the late John and Pauline (Schuman) Tabler and was an Akron resident for most of her life. She retired from Ohio Edison with over 30 years of service and was a long-time member of the Elva Chapter of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron.
Cora was preceded in death by her husbands, George Burkhardt and David Sawyer, and daughter, Patricia Bitonti. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Burkhardt; granddaughter, Michelle Macaulay; and great-grandson, Ore Underwood (Brittany).
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
