Daniel L. Dugan, 57, was born on January 18, 1955 and passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Daniel loved the outdoors, where he spent his free time hunting and fishing, and he loved listening to music. Danny’s real passion, however, was watching what he planted grow. He loved his flowers and plants; Danny and his mom could talk forever about their flowers.
Preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Dugan, Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary (Joseph) Ruby; loving sister and brother, Laura and Michael Dugan; companion, Becky Spiga; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and lifetime friend, Tim Cornwell.
The family would like to offer special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Akron General Hospital and Pebble Creek nursing home and to Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bob Davis for all their kind assistance through Danny’s plight.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. A memorial service will be held at the Akron Baptist Temple on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 12 noon with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating.
