Darlene D. Lukens, 56, passed away March 7, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Akron and had worked for many years as a hairdresser.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Petrey and Danny Lukens, she is survived by her children, Dana (Chris) Miller and Tommy II (Theresa) Petrey; granddaughter, Tayler; parents, James Wells and Carolyn Pyle; brothers, Shane, Fred, Jimmy, David and Danny; 2 step-children; 5 step-grandchildren; close friends, Debbie and Terry; and her puppy, Bailey.
Calling hours will be held at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH on Sunday, March 11, from 1 – 4 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Keith Emhoff officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please be made to the funeral home in memory of Darlene.
