David F. Smith, 74, passed away September 1, 2011.
He is in the arms of Jesus now. He loved the Lord, his family and his church, Concordia Lutheran, where he served many years as an elder. He also retired from Goodyear with 36 years of service.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (Mazak); brothers, John and Russell; and in-laws, Chester and Janet Young. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sally; children, Valerie (Al) McGlocklin, Kimberly (Howard) Kipp, Marjorie (Mark) Gluckner, Jennifer (Dave) Archer, Kristine (Richard) Warren, David F. II (Justine) Smith and Marian (Michael) Lowe; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Martin and James; sisters, Phyllis and Mary Ann; and many loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner St., with Rev. Robert Tauscher officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St., on Friday, September 2, from 4 - 7 p.m.
