Denise L. Boyer, 63, passed away November 23, 2014. She was born in Akron to the late Walter and Jean (Hupfer) Hine and was a Green High School graduate.
Denise was an LPN for over 30 years and worked at Akron Children’s Hospital. She later worked as a teacher after earning a degree in elementary education from the University of Akron and also worked for Affordable Family Healthcare in Fairlawn.
Passionate about music, she was a former member of Sweet Adeline’s and was a lifelong member of St. John-St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 with Pastor Rick Gordon officiating. Calling hours will be for two hours prior to the service, from 5 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home in memory of Denise.
