Dian R. Flanders

Dian R. Flanders, 91, passed away peacefully June 16, 2026. She was born in Akron to the late Ralph and Ruth (Kirkman) Ross and was a 1953 East High School graduate. Dian worked at Goodyear Aircraft and Akron City Hospital, was a former member of Wedgewood United Methodist Church, and was currently attending Springfield Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Soulsby and Russ Flanders; step-daughter, Carol Soulsby; and dear friend, Byron Pritchard. She is survived by her children, David (Sherrey) Soulsby, Gregory (Sharon) Soulsby, and Chris (Mary) Flanders; and granddaughter, Samantha (Kevin) Field.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 with Pastor Eric Schroeter officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m. with burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
