Dolores Rita Miller

Dolores Rita Miller, 92, passed away April 25, 2011.  Born in Texas, she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.  Mrs. Miller was a teacher for many years in the Tallmadge Middle Schools as well as at the Weaver Workshop.  During her teaching career, she taught sign language to many students.

Dolores and her late husband, Russ, fostered over fifty children for the Summit County Children Services.  She was a life-long member of Celebration Church, and her generous financial support helped the church grow and sustain a commitment to the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Russ Sr., and son, Russ Jr.  She is survived by her church family and many other friends.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 29, 2011, at Celebration Church, 688 Dan St, with Pastor Jeff Wade officiating.  Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, April 29, for ONE HOUR prior to the service, from 12 - 1 p.m.
