Dolores E. Stone

Dolores E. Stone, 89, passed away January 28, 2024. She was born in Akron to the late Owen and Leona (Lotze) Hill, worked as a unit supervisor for Children’s Services, and was a former member of Celebration Church (previously Evangel Temple).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; son, Larry; sisters, Irene and Patricia; and brother, Eugene. She is survived by her children, Gib, Cindy (Rick) Shackelford and Duke (Jessica); daughters-in-law, Vicki and Teresa; grandchildren, Eric, Dan, Rachel, Tim, Lynette, Lisa and Jennifer; many great-grandchildren; John Ickes; and other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Michael Mancari officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for ½ hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:00.
