Donald W. Butcher

Donald W. Butcher, 65, passed away December 14, 2021. Born in Akron, he was proudly known for years as “The Milkman”, working for Reiter Dairy/Dairyman’s. He also lived 10 years in Tennessee to take care of his parents.

Donald was a sports fanatic, playing and coaching softball, and competing successfully in many bowling tournaments. He loved fishing in Tennessee and traveling with Karen, and he will be missed.

Preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Richard Dillon and Walter Scarberry, he is survived by his children, Jerry (Adrienne) Butcher, Robert Butcher, Jennifer (Anthony) Wagner, Courtney (Scot) Bergdorf, Donielle Butcher and Ashley (Michael) Miller; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Karen Harouff and her children, Stephanie (David) Freeman, Tiffanie Harouff, Matt Eastman, Bethanie Harouff and Kyle Toth; 5 grandchildren; and his beloved dogs, Phoebe and Betsy.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10 am – 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon with Pastor Ron Shultz officiating.
