Donald William Carruthers, 55, went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2015. Born and lived in Akron his entire life, Don loved fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Debbie of 35 years; daughter, Dawn (Ray); son, Tyson; grandchildren, Samantha, Ashleigh, Kylie, Ray Jr. and Jaysean; parents, Jack and Helen; brothers and sisters, Anita (Greta), Jack (Carol), Carol (Andrew), Bob (Aimee); in-laws, Cathy and Steven. He will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home in Don’s name.
