Donald E. Ebie

Donald E. Ebie, 72, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on September 26, 2012. He was born in Springfield Township to the late Clarence and Sarah (Huff) and was a lifelong area resident. He was the founder of Act Now, Inc. and was a long-time, active member of Celebration Church (formerly Evangel Temple). He was currently a member of Life Church Assembly of God in Garrettsville, which is ministered by his son.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul, and father-in-law, Edwin Burt. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Donna; sons, Rev. Donald Gregory (Susie) and Douglas (Amy); daughters, Darlene (Douglas) Snyder and Debra (Travis) Epling; grandchildren, Chrysta (Denny) Archer, Grace, Greg, Pearl and Michael, Drew and Darin, Amber and Jordan, Samantha (Deacon) Eschman, and Courtney and Jacob; sister, Rita (Bob) Snyder; mother-in-law, Hazel Burt; many step-sisters and step-brothers; and other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 12 noon, at Celebration Church, 688 Dan St., Akron, OH 44310 with Rev. Donald Gregory Ebie officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, September 27, from 4 – 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Friday, from 11 a.m. – 12 noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Church Assembly of God Donald Ebie Memorial Fund for the planting of a Mogadore church.
