Dorothy Jean Carr, 86, passed away June 30, 2014. She was born April 1, 1928 in Akron to the late John and Dorothy (Williams) Deremer, was a Garfield High School graduate and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; sister, Emma Kruger and brothers, Rich and Bob Deremer. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Hays and Terri (Vince) Cook; grandchildren, Wendy, Kellie (Rob), Brittney, Lindsey, Steven and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Kelly, Kylah, Joshua, Harper and Lillian; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank all of her home health nurses and aides who loved her and took great care of her.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Sunday, July 6, from 2 – 6 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 11 am – 12 noon.
