Dorothy Thompson, 85, went home to be with the Lord, her husband Bearle W. and infant son, Kenneth William on March 21, 2013. She was born in Akron on March 15, 1928 to the late Conrad and Mary (Wegman) Haas Sr., and retired from O’Neil’s bridal salon after 27 years.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brothers, Conrad Haas Jr. and Henry Haas and nephew, Richard Haas. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Cameron and Mary Alice (Tom) Collinson; granddaughter, Christine Cameron; sister-in-law, Ann Haas; nieces, Judy Caetta and Carol Cannon; and nephew, Steve Haas.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1 pm at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for TWO HOURS prior to the service from 11 am – 1 p.m.
