Douglas W. Cantrell

Douglas W. Cantrell, 74, passed away January 16, 2025. He was born in Akron to the late William and Agnes (Duncan) Cantrell and was a 1969 graduate of North High School, where he was an all-city pitcher. He retired from Chrysler in 2008 with 13 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and brother, Dale. He is survived by his children, William (Marie) Cantrell and Julia Horner; grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Alex and Christopher; brothers, David (Christina) Humble and Dean Cantrell; step-children, Darin and Ryan Kendall; step-grandchildren, Dylan and Makayla; special friends, Teresa and Tom; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
