Earl T. Baxter, 77, passed away October 5, 2017. He was born in Akron to the late Gene and Margaret (DeMyer) and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Earl worked for Cleveland Track Material, and was a member of the American Legion Post 281 and the American Legion Riders. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, racing and working on stock cars.
Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, he is survived by daughters, Tari (Keith) Kaufman, Debbie Stripling and Cindy (Alan) Smith; grandchildren, Spenser, Zack (Kendra), Amanda, Jessica (Jose) and Jonathan (Miki); and great-granddaughter, Liana. Earl also had a special relationship with Fred and Linda Sergent and their family.
On Wednesday, October 25th, the American Legion Post #281 will perform military honors at 4:30 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and a memorial service at 7:00 pm. with Bruce Kucharski officiating.
