Edith O. Lines, 82, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2013. She was born in Akron to the late Homer and Sarah (Kesselring) Salenday and was a lifetime resident where she graduated from Garfield High School.
She attended The Chapel for many years and was a wonderful daughter, wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She loved to laugh, play bingo and to have her family around her.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John; son-in-law, Larry Harris; and three brothers, Leslie, Bob and Harold Kiggans. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Susan Harris and Shirley (Jeff) Werner, of Virginia; granddaughter, Denise (Frank) Turkovich; grandsons, Justin (Janelle) Harris, Christopher and Andrew Werner; great-grandson, Kyle Turkovich; and great-grandbaby Harris due in May.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Rev. John Lee officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 9, from 4 – 8 p.m.
