Edward R. Heitzenrater, 61, passed away April 26, 2013. He was born in Akron to the late Walter and Pauline (Gorham), was a graduate of Garfield High School and worked for 18 years at Samuel Steel Pickling Company. He also loved camping, motorcycles, fishing and hunting.
Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathrine; his precious daughter, Shelby; brother, Tom (Mary Ann); sister, Linda Bergdorf; and other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Robert W. Tauscher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for TWO HOURS prior to the service, from 10 am – 12 noon. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
