Edward C. Overholt, 75, went to be with his Lord November 26, 2011. Edward was born in Akron and spent the last thirty years in New Philadelphia, where he attended the First Methodist Church and was a member of the Tuscarawas Senior Center Group.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Clara (Nance) Overholt; sisters, Lillian Whited, Alene Scalera and Ruth Limback; and brothers, Dr. Alfred and Gerald Overholt. He is survived by his brother, Paul (Katherine) Overholt; sisters, Beatrice (John) Holeman and Evelyn Powell; brothers-in-law, Ernest Limback and Galen Whited; sister-in-law, Mary Overholt; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Ken, Pam and Wayne Overholt, Ed and Marie Hale, Judy Andrew, Lori and Joe Simonson, Ron and Jean Powell, Hospice Care Ridgewood and Amberwood Manor for the loving care that was given to Edward.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of God, 464 Northeast Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278 with Pastor Douglas Walter officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church for ONE HOUR prior to the service, from 10 - 11 a.m.
