Edward C. Wilson

Edward C. Wilson, 74, passed away July 28, 2023. He was born in Akron to the late George and Virginia (Lanum) Wilson and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Edward worked for Peter Hart Research and loved his model trains, his family (especially his grandchildren), his animals, gardening and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his sons, Edward (Julie) Wilson and Richard Wilson; grandchildren, Brittany (Drew) Lybrook, Nick (Gia) Wilson and Ryan Wilson; great-granddaughter, Cory; sisters, Dorothy Clark and Joyce Flory; brother, Dennis Wilson; and long-time girlfriend, Deronda Germano. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lybrook; 1st wife, Margaret McClain; 2nd wife, Janet Wilson; sister, Shirley Bergwell; and brother, Richard Wilson.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273. A memorial luncheon will immediately follow the funeral at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 948 Utica Ave., Akron, OH 44312.
