Elizabeth (Hildebrandt) Mishler, 94, passed away peacefully on Easter morning, March 31, 2013. She was born in Akron to the late John and Anna Marie (Knoch) Hildebrandt and lived in the area her entire life. She graduated from Garfield High School and Hammel Actual Business College, and retired from Carter Industries as a bookkeeper.
Betty was also very involved in the community. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Hartville Church of the Brethren and Springfield Church of the Brethren. She was active in the Turkeyfoot Sportsmans Club Auxiliary, served as Treasurer of the German American Club, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Green Seniors, and Lake Seniors. Betty’s wonderful smile and loving spirit will forever be missed by her family, and all who knew her.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Glenn Mishler. She is survived by her sister, Katherine Peterson; children, Elizabeth (Tom) Jameson of LaCombe, LA, Sue (David) Jamison of Beaver, PA and Dennis (Kathy) Mishler of Tallmage, OH; grandchildren, Carrie (Kevin), Tammy (David), Tommy (Rhonda), Shaun (Jackie), Jen (Dave), Denise (Abou), Jake, and Emily (Justin); great-grandchildren, Melanie, James, Jeremy, Jason, Gracie, Chris, Charlie, Malerie, Alyssa, Jackson and Payton; step-grandchildren, Andy (Tiffany), Ed (Missy), and Nick (Jen) and their children; nieces, Nancy Downing, Loretta Vaughan and Betty Scherer; cousin, Peggy Royer; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, OH 44312 on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Hamilton and Pastor Kris Hawk officiating. Interment at Nimishillen Church Cemetery.
