Elverna M. Murray, 99, passed away November 7, 2014. She was born in Sherrard, WV to the late Challen and Linnie (Rutan) Miner, was an Akron resident for 65 years and was a member of the Tallmadge Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, whom she was married to for 63 years and was the love of her life, she leaves her daughter, Nancy (Ron); son, Keith (Sue); precious grandchildren who loved her dearly, Shawn (Lisa), Shannon (Eric), Michael (Pam), Keith Jr. (Shelly), Tony (Jordan), Christopher and Nicole (Chris); 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Jewel, Connie, Shirley, Bud and Dale; and her faithful canine, Petey-Jax.
The family would like to offer sincere thanks to Asera Hospice Care for their exceptionally gentle and caring team members Tim, Greg, Trish, Lauren, Sonja, Tammie and Patti as well as to Dr. Mark Smith. And a loving thank you to Becky Graham, who faithfully came every day and took care of Elverna as if she were her own mother.
Rest in peace mom, we all loved you unconditionally and you will forever be in our hearts.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 10, from 4 – 7 p.m.
