Eugene “Bud” Shaffer, 62, passed away July 18, 2013 after a five-month battle with cancer. Bud worked for Acme for 25 years and retired from Rood Trucking after 9 years.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; children, Michael and Kristin (Mike Moore); raised children, Arron (Alicia) Morris and Mary (John) Pownell; grandchildren, Ciarra and Shyanne; sister, Joanne Alexander; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of VNS Hospice Care Center, and especially Chris and Patty, for their wonderful care of Bud and their support to our family. We are forever grateful.
Per Bud’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date in Myrtle Beach, SC, the place he loved.
