Eunice Harris, 89, passed away December 29, 2011. She was born in Akron to the late Walter and Mary (Wildman) Harris and lived most of her life in Royal Oak, MI. She earned a Master’s degree in Education and retired as a teacher from the Royal Oak School system. In Akron, she was a resident at The Village at St. Edward and was a member of Family of Faith Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Mark. She is survived by her sister, Janet (Dick) Pope; 5 nieces; 15 great-nieces and nephews; 1 great-great niece; and 1 great-great nephew.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family of Faith Church, 800 E.
