Evelyn M. Shortle, 98, passed away March 13, 2015. She was born in Buckhannon, WV to Joseph and Beulah (Reeder) Brake and lived in Akron for most of her life.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, James; daughter, Marlene Wolford; brother, Paul Brake; and sisters, Duetta and Lavon. She is survived by her son, Marlin; granddaughter, Janet; nieces Pat (Lee) Windhorst, Carol (Don) Wright and Roseannalee; and nephew, Wayne (Kathy) Utchell; and other loving relatives.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 12 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. where calling hours will be held for one hour prior to the service, from 11 am – 12 pm. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
