Evelyn M. Prather Bell, 98, went to be with her Savior on October 1, 2014. She was born in Madison Heights, Virginia to the late George and Elena (Blanks) Wingfield, worked at Quaker Oats and retired from St. Joseph Hospital with 23 years of service. She was a member of the World Missionary Society and the First Church of the Nazarene in Warren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Prather and Robert Bell; children, Janie and Thomas; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her grandchildren, Lois Damron, Sylvia Ross, Edie (Denny) Holzer, Eric (Mary) Prather and Brad (Julie) Prather; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Wes Hartzfeld officiating. A private burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery.
