Genevieve A. Greathouse

Genevieve A. Greathouse, 75, passed away December 20, 2023. She was born in Akron to the late Harold and Sarah (Adcock) Rogers and was a lifelong, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Genevieve was active in the community as founder and director of the clothing center for the social services department in Kent and Portage County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell and grandson, Nathan. She is survived by her children, Bernadine Sumpter, Brett (Amy), Joel, Chad (Jamie) and Stephanie (Mason) Causey; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and grandchildren, Blaine, Lauren, Samantha, Madison, Miranda, Christian, Gracie, Tristian, Ellie, Kylei, Cameron and Khloe.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 106 E. Howe Rd., Tallmadge, OH 44278. Calling hours will be at church prior to the funeral from 9 – 10:30 with burial at Restland Cemetery.
