Genevieve Stump, 88, passed away July 26, 2012. She was born in Calhoun County, West Virginia to the late Burla and Elizabeth (Wayne) Roberts and was an Akron resident all of her adult life.
Genevieve worked as a surgical secretary for Akron City Hospital for 25 years. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who throughout her life showered generosity and kindness with a full heart on her family and countless others.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Stump; granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Bochette; brothers, George, Guy and Harley Roberts. She is survived by her sons, Charles (Ann), Randall, and David (Judy); daughters, Jeannie (Louis) Bochette and Shirley Ann Stump; grandchildren, Kimberly (Larry) Wheeler, Craig (Wendy) Stump, and Jason Stump; great-grandchildren, Amber and Kyle Wheeler; brothers, Deo Roberts and Holly (Donna) Roberts; sisters, Jewel (Earnest) Vanke and Lela Carpenter; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at The Chapel in University Park, Memorial Chapel, 135 Fir Hill. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 12:00 noon following the calling hours with Rev. Steve Busy officiating. Private interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
