Georgia D. Zurz, 83, passed away October 3, 2014. She was born in Carey, OH to the late Kenneth and Irene (Dible) O’Brien, was a Carey High School graduate and attended Ohio Northern University.
Georgia was a 2nd grade teacher for the Cory-Rawson Public Schools and was an avid golfer. She was a member of Prestwick Country Club and a former member of Firestone Country Club, and was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Judge Richard V. Sr.; children, LeeAnn (Mark) Gorman, DeeAnn Zurz and Richard V. Jr. (Kimberly); grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Callie and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Ava, Tyler and Carter; and brother, Gary (Marry) Hunter of Panama City, FL.
A celebration of her life memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Prestwick Country Club, 3751 Glen Eagles Blvd, Uniontown, OH 44685. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in remembrance of Georgia.
