Glenn W. Dick

Glenn W. Dick, 83, of Akron, Ohio, passed away October 3, 2024. He was born January 11,1941 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Paul J. Dick and Bessie (Farmer) Dick.

Glenn retired from the Akron City Water Department. He enjoyed telling the tells of the good old days. He also enjoyed doing construction jobs, hauling scrap metal and listening to live music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul E. Dick; Betty Jean, the love of his life; whom they were married 44 years before her passing in 2018; his first wife, Margaret Shields (Tucker); his young son Steven A. Dick, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a son-in-law.

Glenn is survived by his children, Ernest Dick, Ally Berger, Stephanie Bailes, Michelle Dick, Steven (Jeannie Bruce) Dick, and Jason Dick; siblings, Roger Dick, Chuck (Teri) Dick, James Dick, Shirley Schiffbauer and Darlene (Charles) Tepus; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E Market St., Akron, Ohio 44305. A celebration of life dinner will follow at First Church of God Tallmadge, 464 Northeast Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278 at 4:00 p.m.
