Glenn Lomax

March 28, 1929 — March 30, 2014

E. Glenn Lomax, 85, passed away March 30, 2014.  He was born on March 28, 1929 in Clarksville, Indiana to Clifton and Ida (Black) Lomax.  After moving to Akron, Ohio, he graduated from Springfield High School and attended the University of Akron.

He was proud of passing the CPA exam on the first try, and went on to establish the CPA firm of Lomax, Soful, and Foster.  Glenn was an avid reader who enjoyed football, nature, and birding.

He will be missed by his daughters, Sandy (Mike) Soful, Sharon Darkow, and Kathy Laughlin; companion, Susan Richter; grandchildren, Michael (Carrie) Soful, Matthew (Carrie) Soful, Kristen (Frank) Davis, Brittany (Ryan) Grimshaw, Adam Darkow, and Alex Darkow; and 8 great-grandchildren.

At Glenn’s request, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44305.
