Glenna G. Smith, 82, passed away July 8, 2011. She was born in Buckhannon, WV to the late Lee-Otis and Alta (Reynolds) Post and was an Akron resident for most of her life where she was very active in her community, especially the Salvation Army.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children, Gary (Lorrie), Richard, Buzz (Dorothy), Danny (Bobbie), Cindy and Malinda (Tim); 33 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Betty (Fred).

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St, with Pastor Richard Skoff officiating. Interment at East Akron Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 12, from 5 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa.
