Harold J. Lantz "Tootie", 83, passed away October 26, 2011 from a series of health complications. He was born in Akron to the late Harold and Pearl Lantz and was a lifelong resident. He attended East High School and served his country in the US Army and the National Guard. Mr. Lantz retired from Goodyear Aircraft Braking System in 1990 after 42 years of service and he enjoyed all sports, especialy horse racing, as well as just being at home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving brothers, Clark and Hugh. Left to mourn him are his wife of 49 years, Ruth; son, David Harold of San Diego, CA; daughter, Terry of Fort Lee, NJ; brother, Robert; sister, Betty Mathew; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family of Mr. Lantz wishes to thank Dr. Richard Nemer and his office associates and the excellent care provided by the Hospice and Visiting Nurse Service.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4441 Akron-Cleveland Road, Peninsula, OH with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. There will be no calling hours.
