Hilbert Harry Paxton, 96, of Florence, SC. passed away Friday, June 29, 2012.
Mr. Paxton was born in Akron, OH, a son of the late James and Nellie Harry Paxton. He was an amateur radio operator and a member of the Florence Amateur Radio Club. Mr. Paxton retired from Goodyear after nearly 38 years as a truck driver.
Mr. Paxton is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor Wilson Paxton; and two sons, James David Paxton and Roger Allen Paxton.
Mr. Paxton is survived by his daughter, Judie (Fred) Moser, of Florence; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to Southern Care Hospice, 217 Dozier Blvd, Suite 201, Florence, SC 29501.
