John E. “Jack” Minor, 77, passed away July 9, 2012. He was born in Akron to the late John C. and Gladys (Guither), was a 1952 graduate of Ellet High School and attended the University of Akron.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retired from Goodyear with over 40 years of service and was a member of the Southeast Church of Christ in Mogadore. Jack also enjoyed golfing and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peg”. He is survived by his daughters, Gigi (Tedd) Berry and Mona (Dale) Stincic; grandchildren, Theresa “Erin” (Joshua) Ewell, Fred Berry, Erin (Matt) Harmon and Todd (Heidi) Stincic; and great-grandchildren, Abby and Dawson Ewell and Myles Harmon.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Vernon Teagarden officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 12, from 4 – 7 p.m.
