Jacqueline J. Tirey, 54, passed away August 24, 2014. Born in Akron to the late Elmer and Rosemarie (Welsh) Schaad, she lived in CA for 20 years before returning to her hometown. Jackie graduated from St. Vincent – St. Mary High School and then attended Brown Mackie College, where she earned a Nursing Certificate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2002; stepson, Richard Tirey; and siblings, Daniel, Theresa and Joseph Schaad. She is survived by her son, Christian; granddaughter, Marrina; siblings, Bonnie (Jim) Karl, Bill (Wendy) Schaad, Michael (Sue) Schaad and Bob Schaad; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Summa Hospice for their loving care of Jackie during the past few months.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. A memorial mass will be Thursday, August 28 at Visitation of Mary Church, 87 Broad St. at 10 a.m. with Fr. Jonathan Zingales officiating.
