James O. Foster

James O. Foster, 78, passed away August 7, 2024. He was born in Akron to the late Robert and Edna Mae (Gregory) Foster and was a Kenmore High School graduate. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy, retired as a truck driver and was a skilled iron worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert; sisters, Eileen and Mildred; brothers, Robert and Gene; and Goldie McCune. He is survived by his children, Dawn, Deon, Denny, John, Michael, Tammie and Reatha; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; ex-wife, Josephine Mack; nieces, Donna and Loretta; and to all extended family and friends, you know who you are..

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
