James Darwin Kea, 64, passed away March 15, 2026. He was born August 11, 1961 in Baltimore, MD to the late Diane and George Kea and was raised in Akron. He was a 1980 North High School graduate, where he participated in track and field and soccer, and he earned a bachelors degree in journalism from Kent State University.
James worked at the Olive Tree Restaurant, The Tower Restaurant and the Grill Room. He enjoyed the Oakland A’s and being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri, and his step-children, Allie Morrison, Victoria (James) Moore and Mary (Chandler) Howe.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
