James Gay Price, 93, of Goodyear Heights went to be in heaven with his wife, Kathleen, on her birthday, February 8, 2011.
He was born in Tames, West Virginia on October 18, 1917 to Clyde and Bessie Price. He retired from Goodyear with 37 years of service, and that is where he met and married Kathleen (Bousum), his wife of 64 years.
James was also a member of the Broadman Baptist Church and the American College of Modern Weight Lifting.
He was preceded in death by wife, Kathleen; daughter, Susan; and granddaughter, Tracy. Survivors include brothers, Douglas and Clyde; sons, James (Nancy), Douglas (Dottie) and Timothy (Lisa); grandchildren, Jim (Annemarie), Doug (Rachel), Janey (Brooks) Ames, and Sarah; and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Summit Villa Care Center for the care given to James the past several years.
The funeral service will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Pastor Chris McComb officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for ONE HOUR prior to the service on Friday, from 10 - 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Broadman Baptist Church, 350 E. Bath Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, 44223.
