Jay Gordon Carper, 87, passed away February 14, 2018. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to James and Edna (Myers) Carper, he was a lifelong Akron area resident and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Jay retired from O’Neil’s, where he worked as a stock manager. He was very talented at repairing things and never ever gave up on the Cleveland Indians.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann; he will be sadly missed by sister, Shirley (Lee) Wickenheiser; nephews, Doug and Wes.
Private family burial has taken place at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Those who wish may make a donation in Jay’s name to the charity of your choice.
