Jean C. Hardy, 85, went home to be with the Lord February 28, 2014. She was born in Akron to the late Hobart and Fannie (Hall) Stanley and was a long-time member of the Northampton Baptist Church where she sang in the choir as the lead soloist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold; brothers, Clarence (Kay) and Bob (Tudy); and sisters, Dorothy (Jon) Brouse and Shirley (Morris) Kelley. She is survived by her children, Judy (Gary) Promey and Jack (Terri) Hardy; grandson, Matthew Hardy; and many relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Chaplain Tammy Marks officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 4, from 4 – 6:30 p.m.
