Jerome "Jerry" P. Regallis

July 31, 1948 — August 16, 2024

Jerome P. "Jerry" Regallis, 76, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born July 31, 1948, in Akron to the late Joseph and Madge (Stark) Regallis. Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he received the National Defense Service Medal while serving in South Korea at DMZ.

He began his post service career at Alcon Tool Company in 1974, where he spent his work life until retirement. He was heavily involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and was a sponsor for many men over the course of a 20+ year period. He had a passion for reading his Bible and sharing his faith with any and every one he came in contact with. His favorite verse being Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you”.

Jerry was never shy about sharing his opinions on current events and had a genuine concern for the well-being of his family and loved ones. He was a loving father and grandfather and kept in contact with his family even when his health and distance prevented in-person visits.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joel Regallis. He is survived by his beloved companion, Lani Fugarino; son Daniel, daughter Kary Adams; Gabriel Cantiberos, Jacob (Melissa) Cantiberos, Mei~Ling Cantiberos, Christina (Richard) Morgan and Tatiana Morgan; brothers John (Barb), Jeff (Mary Jane), Jay (Kathie), and Jim; sisters Mary Ann Cial (Dave) and Nancy Gillentine (Jeff); grandchildren Harley Regallis, Allie Regallis, Kirstin Cantiberos, Kaiden and Kalea Cantiberos, Kaiya, Kiana, Keira and Vesper Morgan, Kani Morgan; and 16 nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
