Jesse Charles Neuhauser, 72, passed away June 29, 2016. He was born in Barberton to the late Paul and Beulah (Raines). He was raised in Akron, and then lived in Canal Fulton before moving back to Akron.
Jesse was a 1961 graduate of Garfield High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for many years at B.F. Goodrich before retiring at Reiter Dairy. He was a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. He coached for Northwest youth sports programs and was an avid golfer. He was most proud of being an active part of his children’s and grandchildren’s sports activities. He was their number one fan, and he will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Strouse. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara; children, Jeff (Michelle), Stacy (Brad) Johnson and Bryan (Melissa); grandchildren, Bryce, Brady, Brielle and Emily; sisters-in-law, Mary Strouse and Linda (Dale) Michalske; father-in-law, R.D. Sutphin; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St.The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
